The 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur is again brilliant, unwinding in the glass with notes of crisp green apple, white flowers, fresh bread, iodine and oyster shell. Full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with chalky extract and tangy acids, it’s one of the cooler, more tensile wines in the range and stands out as a particular highlight.

Planted in the late 1960s, this steeply sloping plot is the most difficult of all to work with. But it’s so worth it! Located to the left of the valley, it is at the steepest of the slope.
The Valmur gives fine and elegant wines, lace! Reserved and closed in youth, they have a very good ageing potential.
