Description

Domaine Roc Breïa is the latest venture by Théo Dancer, son of renowned Burgundian winemaker Vincent Dancer. Established in 2021 in Bray, north of Mâcon, the estate spans 10 hectares with 7 hectares of Pinot Noir and 3 hectares of Chardonnay, planted between the 1950s and 1970s.

Théo employs regenerative agriculture practices, focusing on natural viticulture to revitalize soils previously depleted by conventional farming. The wines, labeled as Vin de France to allow creative freedom, are vinified in Chassagne-Montrachet using natural yeasts, without fining or filtration, and aged in used 500-liter barrels.

The Pinot Noir offers a ruby hue with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, complemented by floral and spicy notes. It presents a silky texture, fine tannins, and balanced acidity, making it versatile for pairings with poultry, light meats, and soft cheeses.

The Chardonnay showcases freshness and elegance, with notes of citrus and white flowers, underpinned by a mineral backbone. It’s well-suited for seafood, soft cheeses, and dishes like escargots de Bourgogne.
