Founded in the 17th century and passed down through six generations, Domaine Truchetet is based in Premeaux-Prissey, a hamlet of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The estate works seven hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with vines averaging 60 years old.

« La Montagne » sits on the high, cool and windswept plateau above Chaux, in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, on eroded limestone. Altitude is what defines the wine: it holds the fruit taut and gives the finish a clear mineral edge. The white bottling is a domaine signature, cited repeatedly in the Guide Hachette des Vins.

Whites are fermented in barrel with a small proportion of new oak and aged 10 to 12 months — enough to build texture without covering the site. The estate completed its organic certification in 2023; this 2017 predates it, farmed to the same standards during conversion.

A characterful, refined white Burgundy that expresses its terroir with elegance and precision. Graceful and well-balanced, and drinking beautifully now.
