Founded in the 1970s by Marc Colin, this historic family domaine is located in the village of Saint-Aubin, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Today, it is run by Marc’s children—Joseph, Caroline, and Damien—who represent the new generation of Burgundian excellence. With holdings across some of Burgundy’s most prestigious terroirs, including Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, and Santenay, the domaine cultivates Chardonnay vines of exceptional pedigree.
Many of the vineyards, such as the “La Combe” parcel, were planted as early as 1946 and are now mature old vines producing wines of great depth and complexity. The estate follows sustainable and organic viticultural practices, with a deep respect for each parcel’s individual character. Vinification is minimalist and precise: hand-harvesting, gentle pneumatic pressing, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging in French oak barrels—typically for around ten months, with limited new oak to preserve the purity of the fruit. The wines are neither fined nor filtered, maintaining the full expression of their terroir. The Colin style is known for its balance, elegance, and a clear sense of place, marked by minerality and finesse across the entire range.
