Established in 1989 by Laura Coffinet and Philippe Duvernay, Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay continues a family winemaking tradition dating back to the 1860s. Located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, the estate spans approximately 7 hectares. Their son, Bastien, joined the estate in 2012 and has been overseeing winemaking since 2018. The domaine primarily cultivates Chardonnay, with renowned parcels such as Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Les Caillerets, Les Fairendes, and Dent de Chien Premier Cru. Viticultural practices are environmentally friendly, inspired by organic farming principles, though not formally certified. Winemaking emphasizes minimal intervention to preserve the pure expression of the terroir. White wines are aged in French oak barrels for 12 to 16 months, with approximately 30% new oak.
