Domaine Pierre Girardin
Tradition and Precision at the Heart of Burgundy
Pierre Girardin, a young winemaker from the 13th generation of a Burgundian winemaking family, is emerging as a rising star in the Côte de Beaune. The son of Vincent Girardin, a renowned figure who built a successful estate, Pierre-Vincent launched his own domaine in Meursault in 2016 at just 19 years old, starting with 4.5 hectares of prime vineyards inherited from his father. His first vintage, crafted in 2017, marked the start of a swift rise.
Based in Meursault, Domaine Pierre Girardin operates on these 4.5 hectares and sources grapes from like-minded growers. Pierre-Vincent aims to expand to 10 hectares and transition to organic farming by 2026. Blending Burgundian tradition with modern innovation, he works in a state-of-the-art winery near the Château de Meursault. His wines, praised for their precision and elegance, reflect a unique approach that honors the region’s terroir while pushing boundaries, establishing Pierre Girardin as a name to watch in the wine world.
