Description

Domaine Coche-Dury is one of the most revered names in Burgundy, especially renowned for producing some of the finest white wines in the world. Established in the 1920s by Léon Coche in the village of Meursault, the domaine evolved under the stewardship of successive generations, notably Georges Coche and later Jean-François Coche-Dury, who joined his father in 1973 and soon became a benchmark for quality in white Burgundy.

Jean-François’s attention to detail, commitment to low yields, and traditional winemaking methods built the domaine’s legendary status. In 2010, his son Raphaël took over, bringing a quiet evolution in style with even greater finesse and precision, while staying true to the estate’s roots.

Domaine Coche-Dury covers about 10 hectares of vineyards, including some of the most prestigious appellations in the Côte de Beaune. Its holdings include Meursault villages and premiers crus (such as Caillerets and Perrières), Puligny-Montrachet “Les Enseignères,” and the grand cru Corton-Charlemagne, along with small parcels in Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, and Volnay. The domaine also produces limited but highly sought-after red wines.

Production remains extremely limited, estimated at around 3,500 to 5,000 cases annually, and demand from collectors and sommeliers far outstrips supply. As a result, bottles are rare, highly collectible, and often sold well before release.

In short, Domaine Coche-Dury is a symbol of traditional Burgundy winemaking at its most exacting and expressive. Its wines deliver an experience of exceptional depth and purity—wines that are not only benchmarks of their appellations but also of global white winemaking excellence.
