In the heart of Provence, nestled between vineyards and forests on the banks of the Argens River, lies Château d’Astros — a historic wine estate where centuries of tradition meet the vibrancy of organic winemaking.
Originally established in the 13th century by the Knights Templar, this estate spans over 680 hectares, including 80 hectares of certified organic vineyards. The château’s legacy is reflected in its architecture, biodiversity, and unwavering dedication to crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines.
Today, Château d’Astros is a rising star of Provence, producing elegant and aromatic wines under the AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP Var appellations, with a strong focus on organic farming and sustainable viticulture.
TASTING NOTES – Chateau D’Astros 2024 Amour Blanc BIO – AOP CÔTES-DE-PROVENCE
Appearance : Pale, crystalline and luminous, a reflection of its elegance.
Nose : A seductive intensity, with delicate floral notes of acacia and honey, enhanced by a subtle touch of spice.
Palate : A lively, and sapid attack that unfolds into an enveloping, lingering roundness. This wine, both elegant and complex, carries with it a promise of longevity, perfect to accompany precious moments or to age wisely.
WINEMAKING Harvesting is done at night to limit oxidation and preserve the freshness of the aromas and fruit. Controlled and respectful sulphiting. Traditional vinification in stainless steel vats.
