Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, Château Kirwan is a Third Growth estate classified in 1855. Owned by the Schÿler family since 1925, this historic property has undergone continuous improvements, particularly since major renovations in the early 2000s. The 40-hectare vineyard, planted on deep gravel and clay-limestone soils, is composed primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.
Château Kirwan is known for producing elegant, aromatic wines that reflect the finesse and charm of Margaux, while gaining in structure and depth over the years. Since the 2016 vintage, there has been a clear upward trajectory in quality, with critics consistently awarding higher scores and praising the precision, freshness, and balance of recent releases. The estate’s wines are now more refined than ever, combining modern technical precision with traditional savoir-faire.
