Founded in the 17th century and passed down through six generations, Domaine Truchetet is based in Premeaux-Prissey, a hamlet of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Julie and Morgan Truchetet took over from their father Jean-Pierre in January 2019, working alongside Pauline Genot.

The estate covers seven hectares, with vines averaging 60 years old, certified organic in 2023. Farming is hands-on: cover crops, soil work and plant-based preparations of dandelion, nettle and horsetail in place of synthetic treatments. Fermentation runs on indigenous yeasts, with gentle extraction and bottling by gravity, without pumps.

Chambolle-Musigny is the most perfumed village of the Côte de Nuits — thin, limestone-rich soils that give Pinot Noir its lace rather than its muscle. Truchetet’s bottling is tiny: around 1,200 bottles a year.

A delicate bouquet of red berries and floral notes, a silky palate, and a lingering mineral finish. Drinking window 8 to 15 years.
