Pierre-Vincent Girardin founded his own domaine in Meursault in 2016, at nineteen, on parcels handed down by his father Vincent Girardin. He is the 13th generation of a Burgundian winemaking family; his first vintage was released in 2017.

He farms around five hectares of his own vines, completed by fruit bought from long-standing growers, with the estate set to reach ten hectares and complete its conversion to organic farming by 2026.

The signature is restraint. Ageing takes place in large-format barrels, which slow the exchange with the wood and keep the oak out of the way. The wines are built on tension and precision rather than richness — one of the most closely watched young names in the Côte de Beaune.

« Éclat de Calcaire » — a flash of limestone — is the cuvée that made his name. A Bourgogne blanc drawn from limestone parcels around Meursault, made with the same care as the crus above it.

A clean, mineral-driven style with a good balance of fruit and acidity, showing the limestone soil plainly. The best possible introduction to the house style, and the reason the range is followed so closely.
