Domaine Boigey Frères was founded in 2017 in Vosne-Romanée by the brothers Olivier and Guillaume Boigey, who come from a line of Burgundian winemakers established since 1900 — a young domaine built on old foundations.

The vines average forty years old and are farmed without chemicals, with careful soil management and light ploughing to preserve microbial life. Fruit is hand-harvested, fermented on natural yeasts, and aged in oak barrel with a measured hand.

The signature runs through the whole range: freshness, tension, fine tannins and a distinct salinity.

« Les Jachées » is a village lieu-dit of Vosne-Romanée — the commune that produces no ordinary wine, in Dr Lavalle’s much-quoted phrase. Village Vosne from a serious grower is where the appellation’s perfume becomes affordable.

2023 was warm and abundant; the reds are supple and open-framed. Red cherry and rose petal over sweet spice and a hint of earth; silky yet tense on the palate, the tannins fine-grained, the finish long and saline.
