Domaine Jacques Dury was founded in 1955 by Henri Dury as a mixed farm, and turned to wine under his son Jacques. It is run today by the third and fourth generations, Hervé and Rémi Dury — Rémi named Côte Chalonnaise Young Winemaker of the Year in 2023.

The estate works sixteen hectares, fifteen of them in Rully, in the southern half of the appellation where the slopes face east and the soil is rich in limestone and marl. Farming is lutte raisonnée.

The reds are fully destemmed, cold-soaked and gently extracted, then aged twelve months in vat rather than barrel — a deliberate choice that leaves the fruit unvarnished.

« Montmorin » is planted to Pinot Noir on the limestone slopes of Rully, the northernmost commune of the Côte Chalonnaise. Vat ageing rather than barrel is the point here — nothing between you and the fruit.

Red cherry and wild strawberry over a distinct stony note; pure and red-fruited on the palate, the tannins fine, the finish mineral-driven. A precise, vibrant Pinot Noir made with minimal intervention.
