Domaine Boigey Frères was founded in 2017 in Vosne-Romanée by the brothers Olivier and Guillaume Boigey, who come from a line of Burgundian winemakers established since 1900 — a young domaine built on old foundations.

The vines average forty years old and are farmed without chemicals, with careful soil management and light ploughing to preserve microbial life. Fruit is hand-harvested, fermented on natural yeasts, and aged in oak barrel with a measured hand.

The signature runs through the whole range: freshness, tension, fine tannins and a distinct salinity.

« Les Boudots » shares a boundary with Vosne-Romanée — it sits directly below Aux Malconsorts, and is routinely described as the most Vosne-like of all the Nuits premiers crus. If Les Damodes gives the perfume, Boudots gives the frame.

2023 was warm and abundant, and this is the more serious of the two Nuits. Black cherry and rose over warm spice and a touch of liquorice; deeper-set and firmer on the palate, the tannins ripe, closing long and savoury. Give it until 2027.
